All welcome to the summer edition of EAF (no. 6!) on July 17 at The Cellar (new experimental arts venue underneath DINA). Electric Arc Furnace #6: with Emilia Weber, Tom Betteridge & Katy Lewis Hood.

A poetry reading series, in the centre of Sheffield, between the seven hills. Innovative poetries from the South Yorks hinterlands & further-flung.

Tom Betteridge is a writer and researcher living in London. His poems and essays have appeared in magazines and journals including Textual Practice, The Journal of British and Irish Innovative Poetry, Blackbox Manifold, Datableed, Hix Eros, Intercapillary Space, Jungftak and Zarf. His first collection, Pedicure (2017), is available from sine wave peak and he has a new pamphlet called Body Work forthcoming from Sad Press.

Katy Lewis Hood is from the Midlands. Her poems and other writing have recently appeared in Tentacular, FRONT HORSE, Zarf, and Plumwood Mountain. She co-edits amberflora, an online magazine for eco and world poetry, and CUMULUS, a small print journal of experimental poetry.

Emilia Weber is a poet and theatre maker currently undertaking doctoral work at UCL. Her poems have been published in Datableed, Zarf and Front Horse and her first pamphlet Familiars (2017) is published by Sad Press.

Readings will take place at The Cellar, a new arts and performance space in Sheffield for experimental work: “a testing ground, a laboratory, a space to create together.” Doors 7pm. £4 waged / £3 unwaged / pay what you can. All proceeds to poets towards train fares/expenses. All very welcome. Poster design by Leire Barrera Medrano.
